August 31, 2016

A simple Wednesday breakfast of buttered toast. I lead a simple, solitary life, and my IG feed shows images of such a mundane existence - simple food, our cat Mao, tv and films I watch online, sometimes sketches and toys (most likely on my @toysrevil hobby IG tho), and some environmentals when I am out and about ... Average non-adventure types. The rest of the time I am on the blog, works my ass off, focusing on the work, as I have been my entire adult life! A "workaholic", I cannot deny haha ... And as I continue to struggle to transition out of daily news reporting, I constantly remind myself what is it I am working towards, and a simple buttered toast is why I hope to enjoy, more often :) #henglife #eatlife #bloglife #mundanityisunderrated

Truth be told, I've since long forgo receiving any words of gratitude for my efforts - be it online or offline - but having the silly girl choose to sleep in the box I made her, leaves me with an overwhelming sense of achievement and that comforts me more than anything I'd imagine, actually. I've always felt "actions speak louder than words" and have tried to live my life as such, although ironically the past few years had been a constant struggle to be able to stab by such a notion with my constant lack of physical and financial ability, but this is what "life" has dealt me, and I will continue to life thru them, and relish whatever little joys that greet me - like seein the cat in a box this Sunday afternoon :) #maolife #catlife #henglife

As far as I am personally concerned, coarse products should be in all art toy collector’s collections, as their aesthetics is considered one of the more distinctive representations of the spirit of the culture, alongside “Urban Vinyl”, “Art Toy” et al. I wish I could afford MORE coarse collectibles, but alas they are mostly out of my financial reach, thru these salad decade of bloggery. And while I do not lament their prices, it is my own personal financial ability that is wanting. Hence I am grateful for pieces such as these two shown here (2 of my 3 pieces from coarse in my humble little hoard of toy wonders!), as they are able to cater to folks - like myself who might not have the means to own the larger pieces - but also available to a wider reach of fans (hopefully new fans to their work and the scene too), who perhaps get their feet wet at the start, and decide to jump into the pool for larger ticketed items later on LOL Just hope folks do not hoard these pieces, and jack up the prices, hence letting folks unable to afford collecting coarse toys in the first place, to not be able to afford them after all. But then again, the scene is about listening to people who “buy”, don’t they? I’m sorry (#notsorry), but I buy “small”, and what I can afford :) #toylife
