The burning desire and compulsion to collect “toys” is severely reined in by the lack of personal economic ability, which in turns dulls the passion and excitement I remembered having for toy-collecting in the first place. The razor thin line between “hoarding” and “admiration” crosses and uncrosses ever so easily too … but if it is viewed as a scale, that precarious balance is since lost to practicality.
“Living vicariously thru others” can only last so long, as it creates a faux-notion of “passion”, which is essentially just clinging unto the a past memory of a good movie watched, but barely remembering the exact scenes or dialogue … only remembering vaguely how the movie poster looked…
